A vibrant and energetic brand for an ASX listed company
The Opportunity
Cooper Energy is an ASX listed, Australian based and Australian focused company that sources, develops and produces domestic natural gas that bridges the gap between renewable energy supply and consumer demand.
The company supplies gas for domestic and industrial use in South-east Australia from its operations at offshore Victoria in the Gippsland Basin and Otway Basin, which is processed at its Athena and Orbost Gas Plants.
With a strong sense of social responsibility, Cooper Energy voluntarily offsets their Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions (including embedded energy and business travel) and have been certified by Climate Active as a Carbon Neutral Organisation since FY20* .” Its commitment to supporting jobs and businesses, particularly in regional Australia, is also part of Cooper Energy’s DNA.
With new leadership and strategic direction, the company was looking to partner with a local agency to develop a new name and brand that better reflected the company it is today, underpinning its future growth.
*Cooper Energy has been certified by Climate Active as a Carbon Neutral Organisation for its Scope 1, Scope 2 and what Cooper Energy defines as its relevant Scope 3 emissions (embedded energy and business travel) for FY20-23. The company achieves this status by working to avoid and minimise direct emissions and purchasing and surrendering verified carbon credits to compensate for its residual emissions.
Our Approach
We worked closely with the Cooper Energy team to research a range of new names that would serve the business well into the future.
Amplitude Energy was chosen which paved the way for the company’s new brand and positioning.
Our creative team drove the following:
- Brand strategy and narrative
- Brand development
- Design roll out and production management including:
- Uniforms
- Merchandise
- Corporate signage
- Stationery and templates
- Website design
The Outcome
The new name and brand launched on November 12 following a 99.19% shareholder vote in favour of the change at the AGM.
The logo, together with a flexible graphic device, is inspired by the amplitude shape, while the colour palette reflects the landscape in which Amplitude Energy operates, from the green pastures and rolling hills to the ocean.
