Leslie brings more than 18 years of marketing and sales experience from a range of industry sectors including mining, IT, tourism, manufacturing, property, retail and wholesale distribution to her role as Account Director at communikate et al.

For five years prior to working at communikate et al, Leslie operated her own successful import and distribution business, Elite Homeware Pty Ltd. Leslie ran all business activities, including buying and sourcing products, pricing, marketing and sales, as well as distribution and logistics.

The business was profitable within three years and successfully sold within five.

From 1997 until 2000, Leslie was National Marketing Manager for Great Southern Railway, heading up all marketing and communications activities for the national operations. She looked after new product launches, collaterals, on-board memorabilia, menus and wine lists, advertising, publicity, customer relationship management and distribution of wholesale packages of product to travel agencies and tour operators.

The launch of the Sydney and Melbourne extension of The Ghan service, project managed by Leslie, received both nationwide and international success.

She completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) followed by a Masters in International Studies and Business at the University of Birmingham in the UK.

Leslie’s strategic approach on marketing campaigns has been recognised Australia-wide, achieving a myriad of accolades for her excellence.

Leslie is passionate about market research and is committed to understanding the overall running of a business. From that insight and a thorough evaluation process, she is able to develop an effective communications strategy with a series of recommendations to provide the best possible solutions and ways for organisations to meet their objectives.

The service areas that are a particular focus for Leslie are market research, branding, marketing communications strategy development, sponsorship and corporate communications. Leslie is also part of the communikate et al Leadership Team, helping to guide the overall strategic direction of communikate et al and provide mentoring and support to the consulting team.

She has been at the forefront of developing strategic, integrated marketing campaigns for clients including Securatrak, Parsons Brinckerhoff, SA Water, Rivergum Homes, St Peter’s Woodlands Grammar School and Jobfit.
