Kate’s passion for working with businesses and leaders to seize the opportunities and mitigate the risks they face around their reputation underpins the direction of communikate et al.
Kate established communikate et al in 1995 with a firm focus on values achieving real results for clients in a contemporary style consultancy, merging marketing with PR. She has since added digital, design and stakeholder/customer engagement to communikate et al given the change in needs of the industries we work in.
Given her governance experience, she now works with clients and the communikate et al team in a strategic development role for clients, particularly those leading complex organisations with a multitude of stakeholders where their reputation and relationships with each is highly likely to affect their success.
Demand for communikate et al’s services continues to grow across a multitude of different sectors Australia-wide as the businesses communikate et al works with capitalise on the opportunities ahead.
Kate is committed to ensuring that communikate et al is an employer of choice, knowing that the team is the lifeblood of the business. She has always been passionate about offering opportunities to students and early-career professionals as part of her commitment to developing talent in a meaningful and values oriented environment.

Governance and community
Another of Kate’s passions is giving back to community so she has a long history of board and committee roles in education, entrepreneurship, arts, franchising and aged care.
Most recently, Kate was the Chair of the Governing Council for one of SA’s top performing schools, Linden Park Primary School.
Her prior governance experience includes board roles of the following organisations:
- leading aged care provider, Eldercare
- South Australian board of global entrepreneurial organisation, EO
- top tier school, St Peter’s Girls School
- youth arts company Cirkidz
Kate’s earlier community roles were as Chair of the SA Committee of the Foundation of Young Australians and a member of its National Granting Committee. She has also been a committee member of the Franchise Council.
Early in her career Kate was a lecturer, course coordinator and member of the curriculum advisory committee for the Graduate Diploma of Communications at the University of South Australia and has been called upon to lecture to business students at the University of SA.
Kate has also been a finalist in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards.
