The Opportunity
The Australian gas sector has committed to achieving net-zero emissions and 100% renewable gas across the entire network by 2050.
This process began in 2021, when AGN’s parent company, the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group, opened its Hydrogen Park SA facility at Tonsley Innovation District, becoming the first project of its kind in Australia to supply a renewable gas blend to customers through an existing public gas network.
The AGN team appointed communikate et al to develop a standalone website with its own look and feel to educate Australians about the transition to renewable gas.
Our Approach
Working closely with the AGN team, our approach included:
- Reviewing market research to understand the public’s sentiment on renewable gas, including common concerns
- Developing a new look and feel with a focus on accessibility and simplicity, which takes its cues from the hydrogen properties and profile
- Collating all information about the transition and developing key messaging
- Preparing accessible content using writing for the web principles to suit a broad audience, ensuring all common concerns were addressed
- Coordination and creative direction for a full day lifestyle photoshoot to capture bespoke, on-brand imagery that was fit for purpose
- Planning, developing and launching the new website with a focus on accessibility and a clear user journey
The Outcome
communikate et al delivered a clean, simple and user-centric website that provides critical information to Australians about the transition to renewable gas.
The site communicates what is happening, when it’s happening and what the public need to do.
