The Opportunity
Ahead of the introduction of a new by-law regarding cat ownership, Adelaide Hills Council needed a community-facing brand for its awareness campaign.
The brief was to be distinctive, illustrative, include a connection to life in the Adelaide Hills and be easily applied to a range of mediums from roadside signage, print ads, digital and printed collateral.
Our Approach
Our campaign brand took an illustrative approach, incorporating a cheerful, playful cat named “Chipper”. We also employed various graphics to help place the cat in an Adelaide Hills setting including native wildlife and autumn leaves.
communikate et al also developed a “cat-chy” campaign tagline “Home is where your cat lives” which features across all creative.
The Outcome
The campaign launched in July 2021 ahead of the new by-law coming into effect January 1, 2022. We look forward to sharing the outcomes of the campaign.
