Adelaide Casino’s signature restaurant, North was built on a high-end dining experience based on fresh, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and excellent service.
Since commencing work with Adelaide Casino in 2009, communikate et al steadily grew North’s profile through seasonal menu releases, media degustation events and one-on-one meet and greets between journalists and the restaurant’s Chef de Cuisine.
The seasonal menu launches were an excellent way of keeping food journalists up-to-date with developments at North and prompted a number of media opportunities relating to the best seasonal picks, recipes for people to follow at home and profiles of the Chef de Cuisine. However, it was the unique media dining experiences that truly demonstrated the calibre of the offering.
In September 2011 communikate et al arranged the first Twitter degustation event to launch the North Spring Menu, which saw 12 of South Australia’s top ‘Tweeters’ and foodies invited to sample the highlights of the new menu. Using #NorthMenu, the evening became a trending topic on Twitter in Adelaide and feedback from guests and the Casino was outstanding.
communikate et al coordinated and hosted an annual private degustation event, inviting key journalists and providing a different focus each year to keep the experience, fresh, exciting and most importantly, delicious.
A consistent approach to profile-raising paid off for North. Over the years, journalists become more engaged with the restaurant, culminating in some excellent coverage most recently with the appointment of up and coming young chef, Ashley Brandom dominating the coverage.
