Since partnering with Adelaide Casino in late 2009 for the launch of the glamorous Chandelier Bar, communikate et al has become an integral part of Adelaide Casino’s marketing and communications team.

Located within the historic Adelaide Railway Station building since 1985, Adelaide Casino is part of the SKYCITY Entertainment Group and is South Australia’s only licensed casino. As one of Adelaide’s largest employers, Adelaide Casino employs more than 1100 staff and offers a range of entertainment facilities, including nine bars and restaurants, more than 990 gaming machines and approximately 90 table games.

Working closely with Adelaide Casino’s marketing team, communikate et al has developed a strategic and sustained public relations campaign that reinforces the Casino’s position as a leading entertainment venue and showcases the many and varied facets of the business. communikate et al was also involved in the long lead planning process for a range of events planned for Adelaide Casino’s 25th anniversary celebrations in December 2010.

In September 2011 communikate et al arranged a Twitter degustation event to launch the new North Spring Menu, which saw 12 of South Australia’s top ‘Tweeters’ and foodies invited to sample the highlights of the new season. Using #NorthMenu, the evening became a Twitter trending topic in Adelaide and feedback from guests and the Casino was outstanding.

The team also worked closely with the client to formulate a strategy and implement a range of initiatives to leverage its major sponsorship of Adelaide’s premier horse-racing carnival, the Adelaide Casino Adelaide Cup. For the 2012 cup, the team formulated the Face of Adelaide Casino Adelaide Cup campaign, which uncovered SA’s newest bright, young talent who kept the public updated, via a variety of social and traditional media channels, on all the happenings around the casino and Adelaide in the lead-up to, and at the Adelaide Casino Adelaide Cup.

In addition to a proactive publicity program, communikate et al works closely with the organisation’s legal affairs team, senior leadership team and SKYCITY head office in New Zealand, on all crisis and issues management communications on a regular basis.
