Recently, the business has grown to a team of 21 across South Australia and Queensland and expanded our service offering to five integrated areas – public relations, marketing, digital, graphic design and stakeholder engagement. During this exciting phase of change and growing complexity, we are now looking for an Operations Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the Operations Director (and the Managing Director during the Operations Director’s upcoming maternity leave), this diverse role will work in collaboration with the operations and consulting teams to help realise an exciting future for the business.

The Operations Manager role will exist to ensure the smooth running of the communikate et al business operations and improvement projects, and provide support to those delivering results for our clients. In particular, the role will be responsible for delivering the following key results:
Key result = Ideas and solutions for business improvements are identified and shared, and improvement projects with a timespan of 3-12 months are delivered on time and on budget. This will be achieved by identifying issues and areas for improvement, helping to shape strategic solutions alongside the Operations Director, and project managing the implementation of the solutions with the operations team.
Business operations and performance
Key result = Play a key role in the business operating efficiently and effectively to maximise profit by providing reports and advice that deliver the information needed to make short- and medium-term decisions. This will be achieved by monitoring profitability and financial performance, revenue forecasting, developing reporting tools and risk management.
Consulting team support
Key result = The consulting team has the tools, information, administrative support and systems they need to deliver the best results for their clients. This will be achieved by identifying improvements and implementing solutions that will streamline our service delivery, overseeing client support services, and coordinating and delegating consultant support requests among the operations team.
Team and culture
Key result = All staff are supported, their day-to-day needs are met by the business and everyone with managerial accountabilities has the tools they need to make their team as valuable as possible. This will be achieved by the delivery of human resources support and developing effective systems and reporting to assist the managers in the business.
Information technology and information management
Key result = IT is performing strongly to support the business and our information is creating value across the business. This will be achieved by managing the implementation of IT improvement projects, introducing new software and tools that manage data and information, and ensuring remote staff have a seamless working experience.
Key result = The operations team is supported in their development and their delivery of administration, information and team support. This will be achieved by taking accountability for the results and work of three operations team members, adding value to their decision-making, overseeing workloads, and troubleshooting day-to-day operational issues and questions.
