The Bundaleer Weekend is a regional arts and tourism event hosted every two years in the Bundaleer Forest in South Australia’s mid-north. It is an initiative of the Belalie Arts Society of Jamestown and has grown from a community event to an arts event of major significance, attracting international and national performers and a loyal audience of approximately 6,000 people over the course of the weekend. communikate et al was engaged to publicise the event in both 2003 and 2005, offering marketing advice to assist the local community to build the event’s brand.

 

Working closely with Clare Valley Tourism and Country Arts SA in both 2003 and 2005 the event achieved unprecedented coverage, including:

  • Major ongoing promotional support from metropolitan and regional ABC radio, including the ABC 891 evening program broadcast live from Jamestown and its presenter as MC for the event’s major ticket concert
  • Feature editorial coverage in The Advertiser, Sunday Mail and Messenger Newspapers
  • Front cover and feature coverage in national ABC Limelight magazine
  • Editorial support and events listings in national lifestyle and tourism publications
  • Extensive regional television news coverage and support including the regular screening of community service announcements
